How the cosmetic procedure is done
Once you have met the requirements for the procedure, the surgeon will administer to you a local anaesthesia. Stepwise, the following procedures are performed:
· The surgeon injects you with anaesthesia as aforementioned.
· A strip of your scalp measuring between 3 and 4 inches is removed surgically.
· The scalp where the strip has been removed is sewn back.
· The scalp is then divided into grafts of between 500 and 2000 very small grafts. These grafts contain either individual hair follicles or a number of them.
· The surgeon prepares grafts and the numbs the area where they grafts will be placed
· Slits or holes are created on the scalp using either a needle or scalpel.
· The grafts are then placed in each of the slits or holes so created.
